I actually go out of my way to piss them both off now. Seeing either badge in my rear view immediately gets my back up and on the offensive. About 10 minutes ago I pulled out on a speeding Audi convertible just to force him to slow down. And about 10 minutes before that a E46 BMW decided to completely refuse me to pull out to get past a parked car on a twin lane road, even though he wouldn't have had to slow down at all. That spiky haired faggot got some abuse too

I used to be a little prone to Red mist descending. My horn used to be my most used item, apart from the pedals, gears and steering wheel Then there was the caravan that pulled out on me when i was doing 70 on the motorway, causing me to brake hard. I dealt with that idiot by pulling into the outside lane, overtaking and then cutting him up so bad he had to swerve sharply and his caravan nearly lifted a wheel. I've calmed down this last year though, as i realised i had pulled some quite dangerous moves, just to show my disgust at other people bad driving, i normally only give a blast on the horn now. I still use the good old tactic of 'Closer you get, slower i go' when tailgaters start to piss me off. If they keep coming, a quick jab on the brakes normally sorts it. I love playing with them and watching them get more and more pissed off. Its especialy fun on the motorway to sit right on 70 in the outside lane with X5's and Range rovers queing up behind, knowing theres fuck all they can do as i'm doing the limit, then pull in at watch them scowl down at you as they fly past .

its muppets like you that cause delays on the motorway, roads arent for playing games on, if your stick to the speed limit on the motorway which nobody does then thats fair enough but dont hold other people up, and if some one tailgates you cause they want to get past you because your 'sticking to the speed limit' which everyone does because there all sheep and darent go over the speed limit cause they might get caught, idiots, you wont get caught if your using your brain and look out for police and cameras... and people that drive under the limit, way under and the worst ones are 40 in 30 and 40 in 50 wankers!

No, the ones that speed and follow too close cause accidents. In most cases if you can't avoid an accident then you aren't driving accordingly to the road and traffic conditions. Also I would like to point out that you managed to state, in the same sentence, that "if your stick to the speed limit on the motorway which nobody does" and "'sticking to the speed limit' which everyone does". as previously stated by me, I just don't care any more as long as I'm doing the right thing by the highway code and relaxed then I enjoy driving again. I keep a safe distance (only a fool breaks the two second rule) even at lights (must be able to see the rear wheels of the vehicle in front) always check mirrors and if someone is in my rectum and its a dual carriageway I move over and let them go. life really is too short to get punched or something because you and someone else have anger issues relating to something which ultimately is trivial. the only time I become agitated is when I have stop in traffic and people pulling up behind get too close or don't brake until the last second (understandable considering I was in the middle of a 4 car smash where some idiot went straight into the car behind that was too close to me and wrote my car off).

Its a wilderness out there on the roads nowadays. No-one can drive for shit! If it wasn't for me c*nting off a BMW it would be them doing it to me. Thats just how BMW drivers are. They think (or don't consciously realise it) that somehow because they have a BMW badge facing them on the steering wheel, that they have priority over you and they can drive how they like.

Totally agree with this point. Lazy and inconsiderate things like tailgating certainly aren't limited to BMWs, I've had plenty of new VWs do it to me too! I have every faith that new cars can still stop safely even if they are tailgating me, but it doesn't make it any less irritating and frustrating.

I've been driving 8 years now and my somewhat ruthless opinion of BMW (and now Audi too) drivers hasn't just been plucked out of thin air. I'm going off my own personal experience. These drivers have demonstrated pure arrogance and intimidating driving behaviour regularly throughout my driving life, clearly because of the car they drive. So the consensus is clear that the people who buy these BMWs/Audis do so purely so they can feel superior out on the road. Rules that the general population follow don't apply and they can drive and park however they like. If you don't see it then you are blind, or you are one of those people. All I'm saying is that I no longer put up with it, and I give as good as I get!

I've seen it many times with friends and other acquaintances, that they'll sell their Polo or whatever and buy a BMW as it's clear they want to step up their road status. Cringey and also frustrating as they believe they're leaving you at a lesser level. I haven't got a problem with someone who wants a nice car, but when they get said car and attitudes change it just confirms what I'm saying. I have friends that work in Audi, drive an Audi, and another that works in BMW and drives a new beemer, and even they say people who drive them are c*nts. Not just when they drive either! Full on arrogant attitudes seen by people that deal with them on a daily basis.

If you read my posts prior to your reply then you'll see that tailgating is only one aspect of idiot driving demonstrated by BMWs. I yes I can stereotype them because I've experienced it over and over and over. I'm not just making it up so I can argue with you

I certainly don't dawdle along the road and give people a reason to tailgate me But regardless, BMWs are the exact people that will speed up if you speed up, so as to stay on your arse and attempt to show you up. Here's the basic premise of Advanced driving (yeti variant).

The DSA driving test is the minimum standard for driving on UK roads. For a lot of people, it will be the best drive they will ever do. Assume everyone on the road is an absolute retard and plan what you're going to do if they do the most stupid thing imaginable. Then be amazed at how often you're right. Do what you need to do to avoid getting involved in that action, take a breath, laugh at the tossers and carry on.

Your job as a driver is to get you and your passengers safely from point A to B without causing danger or inconvenience to any other road users. Other road users are all stupid, there's no point trying to educate them, they're stupid and of the impression they're right and you're the thick one, so whatever you do to educate them won't go in their thick heads.

Therefore, if they're doing something stupid, don't bother trying to stop them. Act in your own interests, and minimize the danger they pose to you. Yes, if they carry on doing what they're doing, they're probably going to have a crash, you've got the choice of being in it or not.

Thing with turning the speed up is:

Most people are of the opinion they can drive safely at a speed of their choosing.

Most people have no training beyond the level needed for dsa test (which your dad will tell you, relatively speaking, isn't at all high).

Despite this, most drivers rate themselves as above average in terms of their driving skill.

Which doesn't add up for a minute.

The other thing is, you can get a crafty camera van pretty much anywhere these days, and as police christmas party budgets get tighter, they get sneakier.

I wouldn't insure half the people in this thread.
