Some! Kinda needs setting up properly as I guess the previous owner set her up for looks not throwability

Nice car mate, mines pretty much the same bar no lsd and leather nardi wheel.

Took mine to buxton for 2 days of drifting, wack the rear tyres to 60psi and there great and staying sideways.

Killed my clutch there though and there a pain in the arse to change!

Sweet! I've heard that about the clutches on these but they're about £200 for a full kit so meh, beats the £800 i spent on the golf's clutch

New rubber fitted today

I took the car to get hunter'd today by the lovely folks at elitedirect in Rainham

From the drive back, its now nice and neutral particularly under part throttle

Although, I think it's a bit too low for my dad's drive...

I had a bit of an ebay binge last night, ordered new rear brake discs and pads, locking wheel nuts and a new horn button

Wheels next, after payday

Today I set about giving the car some TLC, starting off with an oil change

Yummy...

Then I broke out the underseal and touched up the damage incurred by her former ride height

Both chassis rails had scraped all the way along!

All better now!

I'll probably give it another coat before winter , particularly in the middle sections

Remember kids, rustproof your elbows too!!

Finally I replaced my broken Nardi horn button with this Momo number

Not very authentic but the buttons are pretty rare so at least I've got a working horn now, I shall have to keep my eyes peeled for another Nardi button

Today I picked up some PTFE based waterproofing spray, in an attempt to prolong the life of my hood a little by restoring some hydrophobic properties to it

So into the garage she went, to be sprayed on and left to dry

Hopefully it should make the water bead off it quicker whilst driving along, so that it doesn't get a chance to find its way into the cabin through some of the worn areas.

After the treatment:

Poured a whole pint of water on it and that's all that stayed. Seems to have had the desired effect!

It's not sticky to the touch either.

Today I got a few bits in the post for the MX-5, New nuts:

And new brake discs and pads for the rear

So, as soon as I got home I set about sprucing up the Eunos!

And after much swearing , 2 coronas and a half a tube of pringles, voila!

The more astute among you will also notice that I painted my front calipers as well, I will do the rears at a later date when I've got more than one axle stand...

Who says these roadsters are impractical?

The whole point of my wheel carrying antics was to get my hands on these:

A set of Toyo Proxes R888s, used but they cost me nowt, just had to get them off the wheels they were on.

Now I just need another set of wheels!

I've replaced some of the badges on The Eunos this weekend:

First the nose badge, I replaced with a slightly less buggered one off my dad's Mx-5:

Peekaboo!

And today I got a new horn button:

Today's mod: I got a 70mm chrome tailpipe trim to cover the rusty old pipe:

Car now feels much faster and sounds like it has a triple turbo V12. Definitely added 100bhp.

Updatings!

Bought a folding windblocker - makes a huge difference having one of these!

And I replaced the rotten old handbrake and gearstick gaitors for some fresh leather ones

coming along nicely this one but I can't say I'm a fan on the wheels (a bit too heavy spoked in my eyes) but they can be changed but it looks good with the tan interior on green.

Yeah the wheels definitely need to go, but I've got to get a set of track wheels asap before I take this to bedford autodrome in November

Just purchased some new wheels on t'bay... I trust they will meet club polo approval....

I decided with my weekend off to give the car a LONG overdue polish:

Poor thing was filthy!

Out came the turtle:

Some elbow grease later, she was looking much better for it!

This is the first time I've properly polished the whole car and I'm suprised at how well the paint came up for something that's 20 years old!
