I feel that the whole modded car scene has changed in the last couple of years. The latest wave of 17year olds seem to all be the biggest c.unt faced retards to ever walk the earth. They rag the fuck out of their shitpiece little cars in Tesco car park and generally make a nuisance of themselves.

Just last night I went into Tesco late to pick up some bog rolls (had a curry for lunch and I basically left king kongs thumb in the toilet ). As I got out of my car a young lad who looked about 12 ragged it through the parking space next to me to get near his mates behind. In the process he nearly removed my door because he clearly wasn't looking. As he got out of his car he starts mouthing off about how I should have seen him coming and waited for him and also did I realise i was driving a shit car... I took no notice and went into the shop. Upon returning to my car, I find him standing next to my drivers door waiting for me. As I approach he he starts mouthing off again, until I promtly connected my steel capped doc martens with his barely dropped bollocks.

Never been pulled in the Polo.

In the 5 years of owning my golf I have been pulled over once for my German pressed plates. I knew they were illegal, I chose to take the risk. I apologised, and dealt with my producer.

If I had of been agro pretty sure I would have landed myself a fine, but whats the point in rising to these cocky policemen? That is what they want. 99% of the time that we do have illegal mods, we know they are illegal, the police know that we know they are illegal. As hard as it is to not rant about them having no real criminals to catch, there is just no point at all. It's an 'I'm right, you're wrong, tough shit I have the flashy lights' situation.

Well yeah, if you have illegal stuff on your car then they are right and you are wrong. If you want them to go solve some real crime, then stop wasting their time breaking the law yourself and free up more of their time for catching 'real criminals'.

It's their job to catch people breaking the law, if people are stupid enough to make it easy for them by doing illegal stuff in front then you can hardly blame them for doing their job can you?

Its down to lots of factors.

I kept being picked up as my car was always seen miles away from its home address at really random times of night, quick pull, name, your car and where you going, ok have a good night and all sorted.

Had German font pressed plates on for months knew the risks got pulled £60, passed off but it was my fault.

Passed a parked unmarked once at full chat and he pulled me as he wanted to talk about the car and what id done to it.

Only once have I had a true idiot of a copper, his attitude was bad at the start, he then stuck his head through my window, snorted and said he could smell weed, to which I replied I don't smoke so it must be you, Que 3 cop cars and 6 coppers all watching this fat idiot trying to find drugs in a small car, even the 2 coppers in the car I was sat in said the guy was a idiot and like making peoples lives hell.

Exactly my point - it's the amount of people that complain that the police should have more important things to do, that are picking on them etc, but still make these choices, and then when they are pulled over try to argue it. I am pretty sure the police would rather be out doing more challenging and rewarding assignments.

There is no point. I learnt that the dumbass way by getting pulled over, it was a hassle I didn't really want for the sake of having number plates that, IMO, looked better. Waste of time and money having the police check every little part of my otherwise completely legal car, then more time to put the right number plates on, take my producer to get it stamped, go and queue at the police station. Lesson learnt. Just seems some people can't learn from things like this and just see it is a challenge to get away with as much as possible without being caught.
