Ok so I removed the speaker grill to remove the standard 6n speakers and install them with these new ones I got on these forums. The seller said they would fit perfectly. Whats the problem, I cant get them to fit they look totally different to me. I've included some pics, 2 of old speakers and 2 of new. Any help would be much valued, thanks lads and ladettes!

You have to chop off the old connector mate, and crimp the new ones on..

No bother, see in the first pic where you've got that little connector block that came off your original speakers, just cut that off.

Strip some wire back, about 10mm and twist to make it nice and neat. If you can, fold it back in half (so it's like doubled over), and push it into your new fittings. I tend to pull off the plastic bit (the pink bit) so you can see easier. It gets in the way tbh.

Once it's in and you can see it's nice and tight, crimp it. If you removed the plastic, you can see where you've crimped and where it needs done again.

Do this for both wires. You'll find that one crimp is smaller than the other.

I think? that the small one goes onto the speaker positive. The speaker should be marked, you'll see. If that's right, the smaller one goes onto the stripy wire and the large crimp goes onto the solid coloured wire.

It doesn't matter though, you'll still get sound.

Was a little tip i was told by the guys at caraudiosecurity, makes the speakers play against eachother rather than with eachother sorta thing, certainly works in mine and my friends cars anyway :)

in a sense yes. its all to do with qmax and xmax in essence.
