Max, i'm not sure Will's engine made quite that much power. 160 is good T40 power. However, you are right in saying its been done. I had forgotten about that one (I was thinking of philj's).

Yeah? 160hp is 30 more than 130hp  , which is about right for another 300cc, i would say a "good" G40-turbo would be producing more than that anyway.

I think it was a T25 with R5GTT carb and a big intercooler, GT cam.

Sorry max, I read that wrong :retard:

See what people mean by a big cost I have about 1000 to play with may have to go down the bike carb root I think and save for the turbo :) sorry to mess people about!!

1.4 16v AFH on bike carbs. few hundred quid and 120BHP to play with. mint haha

alternatively spend the same amount on the 1 litre and end up with like 80BHP lol

80bhp sounds good to me lol :)

No it doesn't!

Even an AFH on injection could be done sub £500, reliable and 100hp+ once you've added your exhaust/chip/induction kit

Definately ;)

My first afh on injection cost me £7 in total which was for the cost of the shorter aux belt it needed. Everything else was raped from a 6n which we also made a fair bit of profit selling off all the other shit from

Lol,

OP isn't even interested in turbo-ing it now

I still found the answers interesting.

Looking at the pix if I was only a few inches tall 100 horse power would feel powerful :-)

Would be interested in how this is going, get a build thread up mate! I used to have a classic mini, and theres a bloke on the miniforum who has a 998cc 150+ bhp turbo mini thats rapid! and thats a 60 year old engine design!

Good luck!
