Been there....slightly adapted template later and the problem is solved.

Also if the paper is cold the toner doesnt like the membership card......so the paper is stored in the hot water tank cupboard along with all the car oils and spray paints at a nice 40-50 degrees :lol:

Yeah, the the end of the plastic 'hook' that connects the pedal simply breaking off. I'm sure it's just shyte plastic causing the failure.

I had 3 cables (all under 2weeks old) pull through that shitty platic hook.

An RAC guy gave me a metal Hook from a kit he had last time it failed, has 2 grub screws so you just cut the cable end and use this. Even he said its now a common point of failure as there crap.

Nine years of MK2 ownership, countless gearboxes, over 70k miles, one clutch cable which i believe to be a quarter century old - never had an issue.

Either this cable is made of alien material, or you have an issue you need to address. And it aint a cable.

That or they don't make em like they used to 25 years ago!
