The positioning of the heater controls and heated rear screen in the 6n2 annoy me. Nearly crash every time you try to turn something off/on!

The one thing that shares the trend with the breaking engines is the crank and oil pump. Pump looks healthy. Main bearing by the oil pump has failed twice though. So i shall be inspecting the crank oil ways..

But yeah, just a good short engine straight over would be easier. Finances are currently busy sorting other things out though..

Swerving off topic like Mikey on a Sunday lunchtime , the tunny thing is, I always liked them as a car, Ford sorted out the Granada/Scorpio's shit handling, yeah, the engine was only Cosworth tuned rather than Cosworth built, but they can be a bit frisky.

It's just the shocking front end that Ford put on them. The rest of the car is a smooth cool looking bit of Americana, but the front is just hideous.

Either way, they signified the end of an era for me, that being when a middle of the road car was still available with RWD and a 6-pot. Ford Scorpio "Cosworth", Vauxhall Omega MV6, Volvo 960 24v, and after they got to the end, you've got to buy an uncomfortable BMW, a shit Merc or a plastic Jaguar.
