Polo 16v Canyon Red 3 door, 72k, £750

Featured Replies

Selling on behalf of a friend.

He bought this Polo around 2 years ago whilst learning to drive, when he passed his test the insurance quotes were a lot higher than he expected, so it has sat on the drive for around a year and a half. Because it has sat here, it has no MOT or tax, but it won't take much to get through the next MOT.

I'll start with the good points.

72k, engine is good, a little tappety due to sitting for a while, but has been started fairly regularly and left to idle for a while.

Very standard example, apart from coilovers were fitted, and hasn't been on the road since so these are unused. Some speakers have been fitted into the rear door cards, and parcel shelf.

Interior is pretty much mint, though its currently partially removed for cleaning purposes. He planned on getting it back on the road a few months ago, but ran out of enthusiasm, hence why I am listing it for him!

New brake discs, but because car has sat for a while, they have gotten a bit rusty, just need to be taken off and given a once over!

Brand new Yokohama S drive 195 45's all round.

Bad points

No MOT or tax, would take a day or 2 to get this MOT worthy though.

Needs handbrake fixing back down, at the moment it has been broken off of the weld, but this could be fixed with some bolts, or welding back on.

Front seats and carpet putting back in.

Brake discs need taking off and cleaning, as have gathered surface rust from sitting. Other parts have accumilated some surface rust like the suspension and rear hubs, nothing is rotting through though.

The passenger wing and some other small parts have been sprayed, but could do with laquering. There are 2 Canyon Red and 2 clearcoat cans ordered from VW supplied with the car.

If you would like any more details or photos, let me know on zero seven 549951660 or send me a PM.

He is looking to get £750 for this, due to its low mileage and condition when it came off the road. Also open to swaps or part exchange for cars with cheaper insurance so he can get back on the road himself.

Located in Folkestone, Kent.
