Is aluminium not going to flex would it not be better using CDS thin wall tube

aluminum doesent really flex does it? its pretty rigid

It's in tension, so isn't under a 'flex' load. Same way a toilet roll tube is strong end on, but weak in squashing.

Also, this particular aluminuim is stiffer than steel.
