Had the unfortunate task of attending a funeral for my best friend who sadly passed away far too young, the funeral fell upon my birthday. We had a birthday bender booked in Amsterdam, but made alternative arrangements, got the cars polished up and respresented Walshie, in a funeral procession of fillthy automobiles - he would have been proud!

And a snap from attending an end of year soiree between a few NW air-cooled clubs

Nothing much to report in the Beemers world bar enjoying it. Still got lots of little maintainance jobs that I have been putting off due to the cold weather, but now the new years arrived, its time to get some cars finished up and moved out of the unit.

Thinking of swapping out the lump for something fruity, was just going to bike-carb the current, but i think the liners are worn on the block as its smoking a bit when setting off, most notable when reversing!

A mate of mine had one with an E36 318iS engine in it. 140bhp out of the box and fairly cheap.

I'd love one of these.

Its too pimp. Are you looking to get rid of it once the golfs back on road?Id love another german barge to piss off the neighbours with. Thought i saw you in the golf last week at stockport mcdonalds, turned out to be a clipper kitted jobby with smooth handles and revos though.

I see that yellow clipper kitted one regularly, lad always lets on but I don't think he's the internet type

Does look like hes stuck in '96. smoove handles and that. Need to get the merc sorted, now it runs i intend to shower it with more love than its actually worth, anyone you know good for a cheapy blowover and some fillering?

Is this the one? His name Tony, I met him through George.

I'm pretty sure he does paint! I can send you his number if you want?

Dunno about the Beemer was only meant to buy it to smoke around in while I finished all the other cars but I'm getting attached somewhat, plus if I sold it Id be putting some BMW scene tax on it as apparently there's very few BMW Schwartz black ones produced.

As for the headgasket I've put it off for a bit, threw in some steel seal which has sorted the water being thrown into the combustion chambers, happy days for 34 quid! And meant I'm no longer rocking it around on foot like a peasant! :)

Thats the one! I was in front of you near the thought before, tried waving but no such luck. May or may not have nearly caused an accident by being in the wrong cause iwas eyeing your bimmer up in the rearview.
