i wish i knew mate, its standard 75bhp engine.

I've now got an exhaust system on there now etc so will go back and see if there is any difference in performance

when i had it rolling roaded the engine was standard, i guess i just got lucky, but its not been unknown for vw engines to get more bhp than waht the factory quote.

I've got the exhaust on now and I'm looking at induction next before i get it rolling roaded again

so will be intresting to see what i get

Not sure if this will interest you but I'm gonna give it a go!

Been trying to find out how to make my car a 100bhp rather than a 75bhp and I had this info back from a member in germany...

my english is very bad ....

the difference between the 75ps 1.4 16v´s and the 100ps is not only the ecu. The 100ps ones got an aluminium "ansaugrohr" like the old 1.4 16v AFH and the throttle bodie is bigger. The 100ps ones have a "Grauguss" (steel) crank case the 75ps ones got one from Aluminium. The crankshaft from the gti an the 100ps versions got 8 counter balances-->75ps only 4. the camshaft´s are different...

because of the aluminium crankcase you can´t change the crankshaft.vw say´s loosing the screws holding the crankshaft will destroy the structure of the crankcase?!?

But the 75ps ones are good to tune. fit 2 "schrick" camshafts the polo gti "ansaugrohr" inkl. the throttlebodie and you will geht close too 90-100ps (inkl a good chip for the ecu..)

Oh and he said the 75bhp ones are only that low because v-dub tried to restrict the power output through the ecu. They obviously didn't do a good job with yours! Lucky sod!

just need to find a decent bodyshop then get some quotes

really want some gti lights

orrrrr may just modifiy the current lamps by taking out the angel eye bit and then drilling a hole to have a normal sidelight again

so then id still have the black headlights with a projector and a normal sidelight (which you cant buy off the shelf)

noooooooo not the bonnet bra! the car is class dont ruin it with that on it imo. otherwise top marks 4 the car
