Been on here a couple of months now so thought its about time i started a build thread! let me know what you think :-)

firstly a bit about it;

its a mk2f polo coupe (referred to as mk3) in tornado red i think, only done 57,000 and is a tidy car for its age. its only a 1.0 but its my first car so not complaining. its completely standard apart from the wheels being painted.

this is how she looked when i purchased her, after a good wash, t-cut and polish, looked quite tidy;

cheers mate! yea got new wheels, lowering it, few other bits and bobs! uploading some more pictures now check them out:)

de bump stripped, looks alot cleaner! fitted small aerial and used that black wax stuff on the bumpers! :-)

then went on the ramp, so dad could weld some rust up! didn't really need doing but just didn't want it to get any worse, so she's solid now!

then purchased new wheels, polished castellets! haven't got a picture of them fitted yet! but here they are;

sprayed the badges black, can't go wrong! not sure weather to get a debadged grill though?

brought this off here, porsche glovebox catch! i think it looks really smart! will dye it black as not fond of the brown aha!

looking tidy pal, well bright ! clear indicators and repeaters would look ok with the colour. i need to get under my car and weld up all the rust ect but dont have the facilities, i want to remove all the under seal then re seal it too.

haven't updated this in a while so here goes!

lowered it around 70mm and fitted my wheels which are polished castellets, I'm quite pleased with how it sits just need to space them out and roll the arches.

i then hydrodipped my badges, fitted chrome door handle inserts, red bumper tape and clear indicators:)

i then fitted a stainless exhaust, gives it a nice sound when at higher revs but at normal motorway driving it is quiet so its perfect.

(sorry about the dirty car)

so thats it for now got a few more plans for it in the future and will update this once i've done so:)

The IMG Code is on the right hand side of the picture on the Photobucket page; click in the box to the right of where it says "IMG" then click where in the post you want the picture and press CTRL and V at the same time. Fixed them for you now anyway

haven't updated this in a while and due to a wheel change thinks it needed.

so yea first off i fitted pressed plates and surrounds make it look alot cleaner...

i fancied a wheel change so bought some banded steels, which are banded to 7.5J and did a home refurb on them, really happy with how they turned out...

i sandblasted them first off

came out looking like this...

I've filled, primered and painted them and this is how they look. still need a lacquer however.
