Make an advert on here and sell it whole or in bits, i decided to sell my 1.0 4 speed in bits and have just asked for postage costs or beer tokens.

Kerrly i think i will keep it for a while have a good think about it lol and yea joe likewise can help each other out and shizzle.......i cant borrow u a wrench like seens as u live a little far away lol but i can let you know if i come into any hickups along the way......I'm going along fuel injection route i like the carbs but have a bit more reliability and good on the fuel i hope? ?? :-)

Old engine when i was stripping it out great engines so reliable people who alwasys say peirburg carbs are crap? ???? I must of been lucky even in frost and snow that thing still ran propper

Tools is not a problem here as I have a shop! I will have a few questions for everyone! Lol if I can help in any way let me know too!

Fuel injection is the way to go if you don't want to deal with adjusting all the time!

I can agree there.....for me i think its mostly the fact that once its done its done wereas i think with carbs i would probly fuck em up keep tryin to tweak em etc with injection i cant do that lol.

P.s to anyone whos interested i have almost got the afh engine out just faffing around labeling pipes and wires cause i got ocd like that lol.

Lmao it happend mate i wouldnt say otherwise all thats left is a couple of wires underneath i belive just got to have a look and see where they go to see if my theory is correct......which is the fact that almost all the wiring can be left on the engine but theres 4 or 5 main plugs that mount by the thermostat housing? ? Theres 2 small 1s and 2 big 1 in a bundle of 3 and then another 2 or 3 main plugs mounted off the rad side of gearbox i think maybe starter motor and alternator wire i have to do seperate cause they go to battery i took off all pipes as many plugs and wires as i can see above ......split exhaust at downpipe 2 of the 4 17mm threads sheered! !!! Got a couple of small wires to find out engine mounts to undo and gear linkage then i can lift it out oh and battery tray lol dunno wether to lift it tho until i get an 8p box? ????? might just lift it out tomorow fuck it lol wish i could use afh box.......dont know how this cable gear selection works tho gotta get it up on stands to have a look .......finished lol

Slowly chizeling away mate work and life gettin in the way and found out a couple of weeks ago my mrs is pregnant so gotta prepare for that lol hows things across the pond? ??? U good? ?

Congrats on the baby! My wife is pregnant too! It's fun :)

Things over here are still not great! There is no petrol anywhere without a huge line that takes hours! I'm glad my car is diesel powered! Water and food are also on decline as well water treatment! This hurricane messed us up big time!

We have energy fortunate enough. But at least 3 million still don't have it.

Thats harsh man we are lucky over here get the odd tree blown down and thats it.......I'm sure most of the stuff will be back to normalish soon obama is doin a better job than bush did with katrina as far as i can see ....... any chance u will work on your car soon? ??

Yeah man! It is.. Buy hopefully soon all will be up and running. I'm afraid I will only get to work on the car next month when I have a break from school! I want to pull the engine and stuff and have it ready for the new one when it comes in.

been doing some cleaning of engines recently giving them a good clean and taking a closer look thinking wether to rebuild the afh engine but dont feel to confident and are scratching my head with the wiring cant find info much on the injection......evry1s got bike carbs on em....... anyone wanna shed some light on this ? any info apreciated

Thanks man .......aint done too much latley just had a baby 4 days ago so its gonna be a slow process last time i looked stinkypete was having a baby aswel dunno how hes managed .....he still done loads to his car tho fair play to him :-) hes inspired me to carry on lol

I'm still here if anyone noticed i was in the first place :-) ball has started to roll again ......the old polo getting a bit rusty so thought i better do something :-) anyone tell me if i need the in tank fuel pump from the 6n polo ???? just finished digging all the wires out man theres f**k loads mclovin are you there ???? lol i call upon your expertise please :-)

Keep at it mate. Cant offer advise as I'm a novice. I was putting a afh in my saloon until my mate left the country and locked his workshop with my parts still in it.

I've out bike carbs on the 1.3 and a few other bits and I'm guessing it will be plenty for my purposes.
