PoLOW Estate TDI

Featured Replies

The 110bhp tdi estate with aircon and full electrics was at the time the most expensive polo you could order from VW. My sunroof was fine and didn't have aircon so can't comment.

Why you think the engine and the box weren't suitable for the car? I loved owning mine the entire time i had it and that was straight after owning a high spec 170bhp G40. One of the only cars i have fully regretted getting rid of.

  • Nice one man. I'm glad someone picked this wagon up. (Or should that be spelt wagen) Such a mix between 'My car is dropped on coilovers' and 'I drive a practical car' Love it.

love these polo estates they look soo nice with a few mods.

sorry too hear about the ms tho pal

Your right it was the most expesnive polo in the range, i remember reading that in a vw mag. Mine had sunroof and aircon.

I have the same engine in my sharan and its great, i think the engine was too heavy for it and the gearing was all wrong.

Have to say that i looked for one for 6 months and i paid 5k for it in 2006 on a y plate with 30k full vag and a massive list of extras. Sold it two years later having done 50k in it for 2k. Only ever seen a handful of 110s. The 6n2 se 1.4 tdi that i had before was much better to drive.

Hope your health stays good.

You did buy a great car though as i didn't skrimp or cut corners with anything.

Other bits and bobs..... temp sender was replaced as they often go wrong (gen VW item) and the timing belt and all other mechanical work was carried out by an EX vw master technician who now owns his own VAG specialist garage. Modifications and other works done by myself he always checked over.

So this barge should do you proud :-)

Seat ibiza/cordoba 6k2 elecrtic passenger side (so our drivers side) mirrors can be had on german ebay for cheap delivered and are the correct fit for the car. I was going to buy two new pattern items (one UK passenger side and one passenger side from the continent) so they are both the stubby ones. Pattern mirrors come in plain black plastic which i thought would look right at home next to the black door handles of the car. Could colour code for extra cost obviously.

Anyway best of luck with the car :-)

Met green on Met purple...... this car is going to look like a fancy bruiser bar :-)

tbh, i've had 2 sets of nankang 165/50s and i like them. i prefer the look of the stretch they give over the bridgestones and I've had no issues with them finding ditches!
