2002 Seat Ibiza tdi **PROJECT**

I bought this car for spare parts when I crashed my 2004 FR. It has not been crashed, although the previous owner had the bonnet fly open while he was driving which dented it, and the roof. The car had an intermittent engine fault when I bought it, but I never got to have a look at it because I needed my car fixed ASAP, so stripped the front straight away (I did notice a boost pipe had popped off which is a common issue). The windscreen has been removed to fit to my car, the headlining was cut in the process. The front plastic panel, rads, fans, and starter motor have been removed. This car has not been crashed and all airbags are intact. One track rod has been removed but I have a brand new one to go on. There is a front bumper in good condition. The wiring loom has been completely chopped about (I needed the connectors for my FR for the front lights/PAS/rad, none of the engine sensors have been touched), but would be easy to replace. It is a fairly big project but would be worth it. This has the pd130 turbo diesel engine and 6-speed gear box. It is probably the most desirable colour, and would be easy to finish and sell, or a reliable, economical daily. I needed my car fixed ASAP and thought this would be the easiest option, but I didn't need as many parts as I thought! Alternatively it could be broken for a fortune; I know Antnee from the forum broke his (same car, pretty much standard) for £2500+, I simply don't have the time, or I would go down this route myself (gearbox, injectors, turbo and airbags are worth my asking price).

If you're lucky, a rad pack could be had for around £80 second hand, then it's just the wiring, a new battery, and windscreen to sort and a bit of tidying up. I know I could make a lot more by breaking it or fixing it, but I simply don't have the time; the garage it's stored in is near my parents house (100 miles from me), and I'm paying £40 a month for it.

These are brilliant cars, and they remap to 170bhp! With 50mpg.
