This happened 2 days ago down an a road in Guildford, I was passenger in my mate Honda crx which is a tin can of car lol, we hit a bend at 60mph back end went out he tried to correct it and we spun of the road hit the curb which ripped his wheel of also chucking the car up into the trunk of a tree we then hit a concrete pillar and a chain link fence on the rebound ending up facing the wrong way on the road just thought I'd share this as I feel lucky to walk away from this with minor bumps and scratches especially as I was passenger and to all the brunt of it!

Extremely lucky! I think his wheel hit the curb perfectly side on and a 60 odd mph it didn't stand a chance lol at least we know his wheel bolt are strong. lol

buy yourself a lottery ticket, your bloody lucky to walk away from that with minimal injuries. if you do win the lotto you might want to buy your mate some driving lessons too

crxs are a dangerous wee car alot of people i know of who had them used to but bags of sand in the boot because they are wayyy to light in the back you are a lucky man!

That thing did really well, i'm amazed at the attitude of some people here, you'd have probably been killed in a Polo.

The CRX had the Civics front crumple zone with a smaller back end. So in a head on crash it ain't a bad place to be. But in that crash the front crumple zone completely missed - the passenger frame and front wheel took the hit completely. No crumple zone apart from the front wheel, which crumbled nicely givving the frame the best chance.

The car did really well. You should be thankful to it. As for your mate, well accidents happen, but he really needs to learn from this one..

Seems that way. Accident near me last year involving 1 driver and 4 passengers

1 had broken pelvis

1 had a broken spine

1 Thrown from the car with minor scratches but a major head fuck

1 Broken arm

1 Broken pride and nothing else

Guess which was the driver
