Cheers dude defiantly good to get some feed back when your throwing too much money at something haha!

You'll see the paintwork isn't too brilliant at springfest mate (ill be there so long as the engine change goes well)

I've got plenty of little plans for it mate mainly tidying things like the front end as its had a knock at some stage its all over the shot,

Ill update again when I have something worth showing haha

Thanks again

  • Picking up the new coupe Saturday. Once I start work on it ill make a new thread pretty excited

Did i say it HAS to be simple to be amazing? lol

Body wise, apart from the front end it doesn't get much more simple (with some smart touches)?

Your comments lately come across so cocky man :(

Them front panels under headlights are gay! luckily they are easy to change, like 2 screws and a few spot welds to drill, and pattern ones are cheap and aren't too bad a fit.

Saying that, i managed to mess mine up and welded it a touch too high lol

No but you said the best are, I was just pulling on your leg Alonso.

I really like this motor because its simple and agree they are the best kind :)

You think my comments are cocky? to be cocky would be to be bigging myself up and blowing things like that out of proportion I was simply agreeing that simple is best and saying yours isn't simple so if you think simplicity is the best way then why didn't you follow that route?

My comment was a dig at you( a good friend outside the forum) you take digs at people on here and wave your keyboard warrior certificate round like some sort of god at time so pipe down Toby ;)

If makes to springfest, and the engine is all good, would be rude not to take it up the strip ;)

Matt you will love it with the AFH, they are a great ball in the early polos.

so pipe down Toby ;)

I didn't even do anything

Was just sayin, i have to analyse your comments as on 1st glance they seem quite arsy. Probs just me, i dunno. whatever

I wish i had a keyboard warrior certificate

I will present you one at UD ;)

ill have a look for my other starter mate ..

got a 6n one somewhere .. No point having slim starter if you are not using the mk3 as there quite weak lol

I'm going to try the slim starter method see how it goes till I get hold of a 6n one

Taking Friday off work now to get started on this hoping to have it running by Sunday if all goes to plan, its not going to be the most tarted up engine like painted etc because I want to do it quick so I can enjoy it

Although the rocker cover is at the polishers and I'm picking it up tomorrow but that's it I may whip it out another day and clean it up but till then I'm more interested in getting it to work,

Cheers for the comments though lads

Just get it in . Rag it . Then when its all sorted and tuned

Take it out and tart it up and rebuild it if u enjoy it ;) lol

I masked mine off n spreayed . nice tight tape over the writing and craft knife to cut out lettering ..;)

Looks sick!

I'm looking forwards to this..

I'm meant to be buying a sensible daily in a few months but the temptation to get another early polo and drop an AFH in is ridiculous now.

Should have painted and then given to polishers. They often don't like it but tough
