VW POLO 6N2 RED

Featured Replies

This is my polo 6n2. The pictures start when I first bought it to how it is now.

Since i got the car i have replaced the original springs with 30-40mm lowering springs, added speakers to the parcel shelf and a new stereo, i have de-wippered the rear window added a few stickers put in Led (white) sidelights and put on a set of Gotti cup alloy wheels.

Hope you like it (so far) please give suggestions on what you think i should do

(I have just bought coil-overs but have only fitted the front ones so will update pictures when they are all done and i have the ride height ass I want it.)

looks smart buddy, makes me miss my red 6n2 even more :(

my mods to that:

SE alloys polished and waxed, body work always polished and waxed, restored headlamps, LED interior number plate and sidelights, shark fin Ariel, cup holders, GTi upper and lower grills, front fogs, black b-pillars and a few stickers

i would say get the headlamp lens polished up, as they are looking a bit yellow

get the b-pillars wrapped in black as an other suggestion

Hi that looks lice, the paintwork looks really tidy.

the next things i want to get after i have have fitted my rear coilovers(hopefully tomorrow) is the GTI grille(may i ask were you got yours from?), i want new headlights and a set of proper xennon bulbs, Maybe black badges (i keep changeing my mind on that one) going to get my tracking check so all is good and i want to spray the plastics and doorr handles red to match the car and a few other little things but that is all I'm 100% on so far.

his thread here

also, if you could get hold of some red roof rails (they're body coloured on all models except yours and my old one, the only red was Flash Red, so no need to worry about miss matching colours ;) )

ye not really sure on lights and bulbs yet there not really something i have fully looked into as ic just spent all my money on wheels and coilovers. I've seen a few grills around on ebay and a few other sites just keeping my eye out for one. can get one for around £40. by spraying the plastics and door handles i ment the exterior ones. (black plastic bump gaurds on doors and bumpers. if i do spray them tho i am going to spend a good leave them of for a good couple of days and get a really nice finish before i put them on. the only other thing i though was to spray them gloss black, but the i would have to spray the mirror surrounds(on the doors) and a few other things. I'm not really a fan of the red plastics inside think it looks a bit tacki personally

Ye that would be good I'm hopping to maybe find a red 1.4 or gti at a scrap yard so i can just route through it and pull of all the bits i want but thats not going to happen haha

i think you're thinking of a HID kit for your car, if you do get it, make sure you get your headlights re-aligned, otherwise you're gonna piss alot of people off as night

£30/£40 seems an ok price, dont pay any more than that. it's always asking VW direct, as you never know; they could be cheaper?

ahhhh right, sorrry bud, i thought you meant interior

have a gander around a scrap yard, it will have you alot of agro, especially if the spray comes out wrong. i have seen it on here where someone had the black plastics and the colour sprayed was wrong

the mirrors in black would look smart, but if you do it, keep the roof rails black if you're gonna make the roof black

yeah it does look a bit off IMO, but each to their own

trust me mate, take your time as they're not important parts, they'll turn up somewhere

classic example with me;

i needed a new door for my new car, and i needed it in the L9CZ paint code (black metallic with silver fleck in) and the only one i found was silver, £50 later i sanded it down ready to be primed and spray, an my cousin found a near perfect door in the code i needed for £20... gutted

just take your time buddy, and keep looking. if your going to a scrap yard, take some tools with you

nice clean looking polo, colour code all day mate, doesnt look right with black trim, as for headlight, save and find a mint pair of gti ones, thats what I'm doing but just for the heads up, both gti and hid are going to non mot able soon, gti ones will as long as you have the washer jet and level aligment sensor on the back,

as for the picture of my interior, i still like it, goes well with my red gti door cards, seat belts etc and there not flat red, there ferrari red with lots of gold pearl in them just cant see it :)

also the gti grill are around £50-60 brand new from vw might even be a tiny bit cheaper, keep the badge black as well. tbf both gti grills and black badges have both been done way to much, hence me making a one off custom one :)

keep it up man sam

I think the HID situation has been overruled, I have them I wouldn't of got them in that case. Smart 6n2,
