1.3, 5 speed

bought it standard with no mot for £200

had 47000 miles on the clock

flew straight through mot

lowered 60mm on secondhand shocks and springs i got for free from a mate

a guy approached me in halfords carpark and offered me the tarantula wheels for £35 with tyres

found the old school desmo roof rack on ebay with a mispelling so nobody could find it so nobody bidded on it so i got it for £5.25

all i'm gona do now is tidy up the passenger side arch and a few other little rust spots here and there then its off to the shows!

I was never interested in vw's until recently. Out of nowhere i sold my vectra gsi and got this. I have never loved a car as much as i love this. I had 53 cars in 13 years including various rs turbo's amd bmw's etc... This breadvan is for keeps!

Not sure what else to do with it. It's such a clean little car it would be a shame to alter it too much. Was thinking of removing the bump strips but decided against it as it all looks fine as it is. Might change the steering wheel for a wood effect 3 spoke with a vw badge but thats it I reckon unless anyone else has got any ideas?

Keep it clean and tidy. It'll never lose money in depreciation and if anything will go up. Keep on top of rust and it should be fine :)

Good find on the roof rack!

Cheers, Its definetely best to keep it as standard as possible I reckon. I just love tinkering with it. It gets washed twice a day and I can't stop looking at pictures of it on my phone all day. Think I've gone a bit weird

I think you have too ;)

I've given up on keeping mine clean over the winter...

Edit: Just realised your Chelmsford, I work there so will keep an eye out

UPDATE!!!! Not done anything to do breddy over the bitch of a winter we had so thought Id treat myself to some new wheels..... Weller Mattig's 13x7j

Got them off of forum member 'monkeypolo' for a very reasonable £100 without tyres. I popped down the breakers, got some 155/70/13's cos I couldnt find any 155/65/13's for £20 for all 4. They aint the most ideal tyres as they look a bit baloony but they'll do for now. Anyways, got the tyres on using a crowbar, deodorant, lighter and an air line easy enough. Was gona leave them as they were, looking a bit shabby but as I had a day off, some left over paint and lovely weather today, I decided to give them a refurb.....
