Alpine White Mk2 Golf 8v Gti 5dr- 1250 ono!

My little Jeffery is up for sale This car has been my baby since i first had him. My intentions were to restore him as hes in good nick for a mk 2 and needs very little work to make him mint again!

Due to a job change i have no money or time to be able to carry this out SO hes regrettably up for sale. Not to be rude but i am not going to be giving him away if i think your just going to modify it as all my efforts will be wasted and there are not many standard ones going anymore!

A little about the history. My Step dad brought it for his mum to drive as a daily and he loved it so much he drove it all the time. So changed it into his name. When i past my test he gave it to me - so although its had 11 owners 3 of them are in my family. Since I've had it its been off the road most of the time due to the fact of money and being at college. I given it good old runs, up to cheltenham nearly every weekend and London a couple of times and has never let me down! I get loads of attention in it, even at local vw shows people would take interest. Generally a worth while classic and whoever he moves to next will not be dissapointed!

Mileage: 135.000 ish

MOT: Is due April 2013 , however i am prepared to put MOT on for right price.

Tax: April 2013

Good points: Great little car and I've literally replaced everything! Heres a list,

- Bottom Arms are less than a year old- only done about 500 miles on them if that!

- Brand new alternator less than a year old

- Recently just added a brand new starter motor

- i do an oil change on this car every 5 months or so by myself so no history on this.

- Brand new spark plugs, HT Leads etc

- recent replacement of ignition coil

- Brand new thermostat

- Coolant sensor

- Battery replacement less than a year

- New belts - power steering/ alternator and cambelt was done about 2 years ago.

- Water pump and power steering pump are only about 3 years old as my step dad owned the car before me and this was done then.

- new window regulator for the passenger side

- Anti Roll bar linkage- both sides

- New drive shaft on drivers side, with all cv joints changed.

- Brand new cv boots changed on the passenger one.

- Brembo front disks and brand new pads. (less than a year old)

- Back disks and pads brand me ( less than a year old)

- Pressed number plates as plastic ones dont look great on older cars.

- All round electric Windows

- Working MFA Stalk

- Rare steering wheel (one without the hatchings on the center bit)

- I've kept loads of receipts and got MOT history for 3 years. ( step dad lost the original book)

- Rare vw rubber mats front only though

Bad points:

Obvoiusly being a 21 year old car hes going to have some bad points so dont expect a show car!

-Rust in usual places, sunroof, Windscreen, drivers door and back door. Not bad at all literally a splodge of it at the bottom. Only surface rust at the moment so all it needs is a little bit of attention!

No fog Lights. I do have both but i havnt had a chance to fit them as one of the brackets has snapped off - looks a bit off having one fog light (not to be sold with car)

- The castellets need a referb and the tyres may be a bit low i havnt actually checked!

- Electric back windows need the switches plugged in.. i do have them somewhere however they keep falling out the door card so i gave up- but both windows do work.

- Syncro is on its way out on 2nd gear (common fault) but not an issue as yet- hardly noticeable.

- Slight dent in front wing but can be pulled out- i am being picky !
