there's a company down my that that does it for £14 a bottle, exchange.

i put a 20 quid depo on a bottlte, 10 quid a fill and they come to my work which is ideal, its a balloon company.

you get bugger all in disposable cylinders with co2 (600 grams at best), it's even worse with argoshield and argon is worse still.

you'd be better off buying a reg and putting the change towards a proper bottle, pub bottles contain 6.4 kg so its over 10 times the gas you'd get in a disposable cylinder.

small bottles are handy if you run out of gas and need to finish a job but thats about it due to the pressure curve and poor quality regs they are no good to learn with.

Very true. But even if you're experienced the small bottles and regulators are utter crap. I still use little bottles with my MIG cos I need the ability to transport it easily, but there's hardly ever a time when the regulator isn't leaking gas, freezing up and stopping gas flow to the torch, ruining your weld Proper regulators for large bottles are designed much better so you don't have half the problems.

I bought my Clarke 151TE about 5 years ago and its still going strong! Was voted the best welder for the money back then, and the updated Clarkes since are still getting the best reviews!
