Warm white is imo a much nicer look, as it replicates the colour, just brighter and less power consumption.

I have got some w5w tower less in the front of my daily, and they look great, o only had to ordr about 15 other that said they where warm white and turned out to be "xenon" or "power" white.

Also, to my above post about the break and tail lights, I didn't realise the mk2/3 lights where so small , so in fact the leds may work pretty well, as the bulb is central and would light up the whole thing. Where as on say, a 9n3, it wouldn't even light up half of it.

Just ordered a pair of these.

The bulbs are a cooler white (6500K) but It's only to light up the numberplate.

I went for the 6 LED warm white one. It was a lot brighter than the filament bulb it replaced! I also got the equivalent 37mm one for the boot (saloons have a boot light built into the rear cluster!)

Are you handy with a soldering iron? How's about we make me a ciggy lighter bulb from an LED?

I trial fitted one of the bulbs Friday night. The light output was really good and it had a nice cool white (more "pure" than blue white) look to it

but the bulb is too long to fit the lens back over the top :( So I'm going to have to send it back and see if they have a shorter bulb

The side lights were a little tricky to fit as the bulb took a bit of persuading to get through the hole in the headlight.
