My passat died a death a month ago so I bought this as a run around to tie me over until I sort my company car.

This car is awesome. I bought it expecting it to be bland and uncomfortable however it is a joy to drive and still Suprises a few people on the roads

The 2.0 lump has the VVT style cam change at 5.5k which works perfectly

Il get the bad points out the way first:

Small dent on filler cap

Small patch of laquer peel on top bonnet corner (passenger side)

Carpet on passenger side has been "melted" by battery acid. However with the mats in it is hardly noticeable and I have a complete carpet to go with the car.
