hello there.this is my absolute favourite on here, abslute beaut!!!I'm 18 and have just bought myself a 1 litre beast and was wondering if you had to do anythig as far as rollig the arches with those ronals on?...and also what offset are they?

was just wondering whether its worth getting a genisis or gt and doing the conversion that you have done? I guess that genesis and gt models dont get driven as hard so maybe they might be a better platform for a more reliable G40 set up??

Hey mate, how far down are you on your suspension?, where did you get your springs from and how much? how did you stop them from rubbing?

and nice car mate, I'm running Ronal turbos aswell, there great!

Thanks Tommy.

I have to disagree..through the years of pouring over the forums about g40's and of course owning one myself it seems the more reliable ones are the genuine g40s...unless....the conversion has been carried out thouroughly by someone competent enough to be very thorough. this however is often not the case and many conversions, it seems suffer from electrical nasties and butchered looms and many a modification... thats just my view anyway and what I've noticed...not saying all conversions are bad...but many are thrown together...

plus reading your post...in what way? the engine still comes from a g40..your post only makes sense if you mean the shell? which in that case yes it may be in better nick but not necessarily I've seen some horrnedous billy basic mk3s... on a plus side if you are doing a converson a gt or genesis is likely to have a better spec to start off with..some of the poverty spec mk3's dont even have a fag lighter...less weight i suppose ha ha

i was just asking a question not offering an opinion, dont know much about mk3's....and yes i was indicating that a decent genisis or gt chassis might be a good reason for a G40 set up as it will be lighter and less abused etc.....i do know that the engine comes from a g40 yes....well do you reckon a decent G40 conversion on a decent gt or genisis shell/chassis would would make a 'g40' that could be pretty high spec (due to wieght and a less abused chassis)??
