2 way component wiring

Hello, Hows it going guys.

I want to keep old wiring.

I noticed 4 wires for each tweeter. I read on the forum that speaker output from the head-unit it wired through the tweeter and then to the door speakers, hence the two sets of wires and the capacitor.

(Looks like some sort of resistor/crossover under the tweeter.

0n the 4 tweeter wires, if I cable the negative to negative and positive to positive, in effect removing the tweeter, this should able me to mount a 2-way component system with cross overs in the door cards.

2nd to last page. I'll be wiring next weekend so just thought I'd check with you guys to confirm the above.
