Theres a few ratty cars on here . Which have had more time spent on running gear and engine then the body work ..

To many people spend 1000's on cars making them show winning standard, others may as well have a bit of fun and spend next to nothing making it look crap. Id much rather primer my whole car than spend more than its worth on a decent spray job

Could do but I was going by the basis that the bodywork is that bad it'd need a respray.

This is pretty much what is wrong with the world today

Its also whats wrong with the car scene. No passion what so ever.

Imo if I had say a 6n that can be picked up for £500 I wouldn't see the point in then spending say at least a grand on a decent spray job when that money could be spent on something newer/better

True, but not, in a way.

but that could be said about literally anything.

Why spend all that money on a car when it could go on erm, for example, a mtb if your into biking.

The amount I've spent on the polo i could quite happily have gone and bought a newer car, but id have the polo over the majority of newer cars on the road now.

It's one of them that some people will never understand (bit like ratlook) why we spend so much money on our 'crappy' polos

Simple though really, we enjoy it!

When I brought my 6n it was what you'd call natural rat/shat look but I spent the money on a respray because I prefer the 6n to the newer polos and thought it was worth the money

Most people would of just scrapped it or put coilovers on it and stripped the paint off the bonnet each to their own though
