Mk2 Polo Breadvan

Featured Replies

Chippenham, Wiltshire. £500 ono. Here is my 89c mk2 polo breadvan. Its a 1.0litre engine. tax till end of march, mot until june. The chassis is in great condition, I was very surprised by how good condition it was when I first got it up on a ramp. I am selling the car with loads of extra bits, included are the rear seats which are currently not in. Twin light grill, spare headlight, centre console section, original cassette player/radio, and plenty of other bits. I will also include some parts which I bought and never got round to fitting including an ignition controlled electric antenna, two front wheel bearings, and a scorpion alarm/immobiliser/central locking kit. I also have a spare tailgate, this was originally blue but was painted Matt black by the previous owner. Set of mk2 golf rear door handles (no lock barrels) to fit along with the central locking kit. The car has pressed plates fitted, a solid alloy gear knob with vw badge centred, a race steering wheel with centred vw badge. Recently replaced battery, as well as having the head skimmed and gasket the replaced along with the cambelt done, fuel filter replaced about 100 miles ago. Car has only 66k on the clock.

Some bad points: unfortunately these are all due to the last owner...

+ n/s/f wheel arch looks to have been filled, but then not very well sanded down, still requires paint.

+ sunroof surround has been wrapped in some sort of sticker with a carbon fibre style print

+ about time it had the oil separator replaced (£20 odd)

+ o/s/f wheel arch a bit rusty

+ cam cover, exhaust heat shield and intake manifold have all been taken back a layer, it also looks like the cam cover was once sprayed orange.
