Insurance is a very grey area.

You literally chance it, unless your German or are rich.

Si, its the motherland. Luckily for us in polo's we wont struggle to find parts. And we will fix at the campsite under a gazebo, fear not.

Make sure you have European recovery. I'm getting ADAC cover aswell as my insurance cover, ADAC will recover you from the track thus avoiding silly charges too ;)

That way, if one company wont recover you all the way, you go as far as they are willing then call your other recovery

And Toby, how does your car qualify, wasn't the 2F released in 1991?

This....

Well, they classed it as a MK2 still the 1st time. I explained in full to Matt and he was like yeh, MK2 then?

I've brought it up again and Matt is still fine with it it seems.

Might be different next year but i don't actually plan on going next year so I'm not so bothered.

Its obviously a retro car, chassis number is essentially the same as the mk2.

Money is going to be the deciding factor in all of this really, hope to come though

Just fuck painting it off, get it all running good etc then paint over next winter ready for next summer.

Or you are going to waste all of this summer painting it and it wont see any shows.

Seriously, you need to get out driving it, you will have more motivation to get it how you want it then i reckon!

It's too late, commited to painting it now! I have my easter holidays in a month and all the weekends in between to prepare the bodywork, it's all under control. I still don't want to drive it now any way, not in this weather. Always going to be a summer car (well, since I got the 9n!)

The car is the least of my money 'issues'. Got several other commitments to save for.
