hey mate, looks like a great project with a lot of hard work put in! i have seen you around lancaster in the past but never realised so much work had gone into the car!

i've also reset the rear suspension, this is a compromise for mixed surfaces with the nose up arse down to retain some handling balance on tarmac rear settings and gravel front!

loving your car :D where did you get those camber adjusters ? :D

looking good mate like the bonet and top mounts.

Quality stuff mate. Top mounts look really good

what rallying do you do?

  • Author

have done couple of road rallies, autotests, 12 cars etc etc, now going to do stage events

ah nice, my old man does 12 cars and road rallys. But 2 years ago he got into enduro rallying.. like a cross between road rallying and stage rallying. You can only use up to a 1.4 its pretty competitive!

  • Author

i know what enduro is. its not for me thanks

never said it was hahaha!

i watched a polo gt do an autotest the other day..was supprising how much play there was on the front suspension set up.. can see why they made up that front wishbone conversion.....(compression struts arnt they)

Your car is nicely done though, look forward to seeing what cage you get for it.

wicked.

Hi there, can i just say its nice to see somebody do something different to the mk3 polo, i think its a realy great project.

I was just wondering where you got your ht leads from, what make and size are they. I'm after a set for my 1.1 mk3 polo (aau engine) but the cheapest set i have found is £81.50. now I'm a student and my insurance is shite loads and was looking for a set for around £40-£50. would be great if you have any info cheers.

Also, i have just stuck an induction pipe which sits on top of the carb which i nabed off a mk3 golf 1.8 and i have done away with that round dish which the filter used to fit in. I was just wondering where you got your extra bit of pipe which brings the filter down to the wing cheers.

Good luck with the project,

cheers vdub_pete

Love it, one of my three favourite Mk3's on the forum along with Andy's Turbo and Hayesey's G40 8-)

Good blog too, keep it updated ;)
