thanks, all will be revealed shortly.

Nice car, whats the retail on one of those?

More than you can afford pal, Volkwagen.

Looking good Chris.

How do the discs/calipers weigh in comparison with the O.E. drum setup? Are they mk4 alloy calipers you are using?

  • Author

no idea on the weight, i honestly don't think it would be alot different. they are mk4 golf alloy calipers with some of the fins machined off to go under 13" wheels, mk2 golf discs, bearings, stub axels and carriers and mk4 pads.

i'm willing to sacrifice a bit of weight on these because my hydraulic handbrake is actually lethal. and it means i can actually left foot brake properly and it actually works.

Nice straight rod that one

Looks like it's gonna be a fun rebuild. Keep up the good work

that is a bitchin radio! you should put that bad boy in the car! lol

what happened to that rod btw?

  • Author

i have no idea. we think its hydraulic'd for some reason or another. either that or it was the 100 shot of nos that almost blew the welds on the intake

the stereo is a proper short wave retro job, its pretty cool.

AFH yoooooooooooo!

cams and verniers planned Chris!

  • Author

;) verniers kept in stock as always. i'll bring them to NWVAG and show you them rude boys if i get them finished my lathe has broke temporarily!

dunno what i'm doing yet with the bottom end, the bore is damaged on cylinder 1 so i'm tempted to wait until next year and build an all steel bottom end or something frankly ridiculous like that
