mikey, you do realise if you have got the money you can have pretty much any plate upto 7 digits if you have got the money, it doesnt have to be the old style or new style prefix 8-)

There are limitations. Go find two letters, two numbers, then two letters on a plate and get back to me.. If you get stuck try one where the only number is a zero. There must be thousands of either if its allowed?

That's two examples. There are only certain patterns you can have, all reg based.

I seen 5D on a 9n years ago thinking about it!

That's a very expensive plate to put on a Polo, even if it was new at the time - plate would've been a century old and worth considerably more than the car. I saw R1 or RR1 can't quite remember, on the latest Range Rover only a few months ago in MK.

AMV8 was almost a common sight in Newport Pagnell when i lived there in the '90s, before Aston Martin bulldozed the old building down. Not sure how they always got away with displaying it as 'AM V8' when the plate was actually 'AMV 8' though - us'n'them and all that..

A mate of mine has H4 WTF

Which roughly translates as HA What the F**K

There used to be a Ferrari around by me and the number plate was "2H" or "H2" (can't remember which).

I used to work at an MOT garage and my bosses M5 had C1 MOT as in "Seen one MOT, seen them all"

Had a wally in a jaguar xkr pull out in front of me today in a 60 zone and refused to put his foot down. Got fairly close to his bumper in his flashy motor before i realised his number plate was FA57 JAG. Ohh the irony... picture to follow soon (taken by my passenger not by me. Chill out!!)

When i read the one your dad has i immediately thought it implied porn star. I assume his first name begins with a P?

Not surprisingly he gets that all the time, yeah his name is Paul :p

this is my openair it came with this plate on it

a "jiggy turbo porsche"? :D

It's an obvious plate to any one who knows me. I've had a few people ask about it, since it could also say Lauryn.

"Very rare plate"

I was at the auctions tonight and a Ka went for £300. I shoulda bought it, was reasonably tidy. It would've been free with an hour's work too - because the plate said WINNY. Can't remember how it was spelt, possibly W13NNY something like that, was definately worth what the Ka went for or more.
