well here are the pictures of her after the accident.

The driver came over a brow and the rear tyre blew out and sent him into a spin which sent him into a tree and then back into the road. Lucky to be alive really.

You'd put it to good use though,it certainly got its quarter century of use all together. Cage or not,that A-pillar panel gap looks well..

Hope your ankles didn't get too much of a battering from those pedals!

wasnt me driving I had sold the car. the bloke had a broken wrist and that was it. u can see how well the cage did as the screen didnt crack.

RIP Blondie! I miss her already, not being on the scene anymore, such painful pictures

I can only apologize, but hats of to hywel for building the car so well, saved my life without a doubt! I'm still only 40% healed in my wrist 9 months later .... but now that I'm well on the road to recovery .....

Blondie Is getting re shelled hopefully into a white mk3 gt by it's new owner

yeh ahh i was totally made up when hywel said his mate had a bonnet, woop woop. any yellow panels really, my passenger wing has a dent on the front lip, not major but annoying,

passenger sill trim clips, oh and a couple of bonnet hinges, as i bent mine in another stupidity related incident.

and i can always be tempted with motorsport goodies as my mk1s going to be a bit of a trackschlag, or more like general schlag

this is the worst picture ... a big hats of to hywel and his father for undoubtably saving my life . check that bonnet too but shows how much the car shifted

will hunt other bits, but i think the wing went on hywels stage car

jaysus, that cage deffo saved your life, makes me think that i would like one for my own piece of mind. its deffo on the list for the mk1 olop those, as thats about as thick as a sheet of a4 paper
