Tailgate smoothing looks spot on, I may have been tempted to smooth the handle aswell but it's your car.

dont go de badged i like the idea of it having something central as the grille has a V shape to it!

There very rare! I've seen a mrk 6 Polo with them on, That Jetta at E38 and Naths VR I've always loved em and fortunate to get a set pretty much mint! Naths VR was silver with red leathers I'm presuming your refering to that?
