Additional Information:

For sale is my pride and joy, a 1984 Mars Red MK2 Scirocco.

I bought the car 3 Years ago in near concourse condition, and the shell has covered 60,000 odd miles.

It had a full re-spray in Mars Red not long before i bought it and for a near 30 year old car the body is fantastic.

It is an early 84 GT without any of the nasty bodykit or side repeaters in wings.

It has a full GT11 tartan interior in immaculate condition with no rips , tears or bulges in any of the seats.

it has a mk2 golf gti mid-section linked to a straight through stainless cherry bomb exhaust

fully adjustable coilovers fitted around 2 years ago

a single light badgeless Grill From a MK2 golf

the car has a stack of history and mots

I took it off the road last year to peform an engine change and got as far as removing the original engine and gearbox ancilleries etc.

gave the bay a good wash out and collected parts.

Then moved to london and therefore no longer have the space or time to finish.

i have collected every part for the full engine conversion except a clutch, downpipe and a few bolts/pipes.

A TSR Built 1.9 (bore and stroke) 16v engine from a MK2 Golf complete with loom, ecu, wiring, waterpump, altenator etc etc

MK2 Golf 16v Gearbox with driveshafts but unsure of cv joints (they might be fine)

A matched pair of Dellorto DHLA 40 Carbs jetted to suit and in great condition

16v Golf Weber / Dellorto manifold painted in black heatproof paint

i also have a mass of parts including a sony cd\ipod head unit, a JBL 1000w sub, apline v pro amp, 2 batteries, 2 altenators, a weber dmtr carb for a 1.6 golf or Rocco, and a mass of odds and sods which will all go with the car.

The car has slight damage to the drivers side where my mother reversed into it on her way to the shops, the door took the most damage but i have a spare door included in the sale, and there is slight damage to the rear quarter just behind the door but nothing major at all in the opinions of the body shops i took it to !

This car is an absolute stunner and got great praise from people everywhere i went, from both VW nuts like me and normal people.

it is also probably my favourite car to drive i have ever owned. it sticks to the road like glue and as its an early model with none of the kit it weighs the same as a MK3 polo !

so if you finish the conversion i started it will go like a stabbed rat.

I have loads of other pics throughout my time owning it and of parts if you need them.

I also Know every inch of the car so if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask.

I will consider all offers but i know how much the parts alone are worth so nothing too silly.

In short this is the VW i have owned which has the best personality (and i have owned a few)

His name is Winston and he needs a good home and an owner who will keep him groomed and take him for nice bracing walks.

picture uploading is not my strongpoint so here is a link to the ebay advert and i can send more pics on request :
