Looking good man! how hard is it to wire up the headlight washer jets? its on my list of things to do!

Pretty easy mate, just sourcing the parts without paying over the odds was a ball ache! PM me when you come to doing it if you want a step by step or just some help/info or info on parts you need

Got myself a pair of rear leather door cards (guy didn't have the front for sale)

null-65.jpg

Unlike mine these have speaker grills and tweeters in so I will wire them up to the head unit properly so they're all good and working

Looking for front leather door cards if anyone has any

Have made a few more purchases to add

GTI clocks + surround (may be modding these, not decided yet)

GTI grille

Rear speaker holders as mine doesn't have rear speakers but the new rear door cards have speaker grills so may as well utilise them!

where did you get the handbrake gaitor? I've just replaced my gearstick gaitor with a red stitched one and want a matching handbrake!

I'm guessing by the watermark on the pic it was ebay but got a link to seller?

  • Author

I got mine from the seller in this listing:

eBay item: 230588850791

serves me right for not looking hard enough, that seller is the same people i bought my gear gaitor from!

  • Author

Fail

those visors are amaizing :o are they a straight swap or whats the craic with them?

  • Author

Yeah they will go straight in no problems  when I saw them I knew I had to have them!

ahhhh you got the clocks! :D looks good man!

Looks great matey! very OEM+

I'm interested in on of those Double Din sat systems though,

Did you need to update the software once you got it? straight swap to get the radio working?

No you can't update these units as they are old style ones, came from a Passat 01-05 shape. Radio and everything works as soon as you plug it in, need to do slight modification to get the unit in. Doesn't take CDs so you need to purchase either a cd changer for it (OEM ones plug straight into the unit and work perfect like mine) or you can by a little box that plugs on where the cd changer does and it's had auxilary ports in... You can only have one or the other though! As for the Satnav just need to buy a plug from VW and there's 4 specific wires you need to wire up to it and plug in then it all works perfect
