  • Haha that actually cracked me up!! There was the massive risk of completely fucking it up and having a massive hole in my roof and I did chop and change my mind as wether to do it or not a million t

  • Really liking how this is looking! Can't wait to get my Polo, not till the start of next year though :(

  • Update: Changed this To this And also got myself some leathers... Not the best of condition but not the worst and there's no rips/tears etc

This is pretty much a checklist for what I need to do...

Looks great! Edit: especially the colour ;)

Shes come up nice and clean! i need to pull my finger out and wash mine for the first time this month...

Only just seen you commented  yeah she does, hopefully you've pulled your finger out by now?!

Small update, got some wind deflectors and some other little secret bits that will be shown when they're on. Also will be sorting out some bodywork and smoothing number plate out and making a custom plate holder just to keep police happy

Just cable tie to the lower grill, that's all I do!

Need the airflow for intercooler ;). Toying with having it right at the bottom so it doesn't cover the grille, hard to explain but once I've measured it and worked it out and got the GTI splitter I'll show you what I mean

Cba to read. You on about front plate?

Square one offset??

  • Author

Nah was thinking more just under lower grille so will sort of be on splitter, not fully decided yet may just bash it on the grille

Nice thread u got here mate polo looking good. I like how u didnt go over the top with it looks nice and simple love that look :). Going to do similar with my next polo. At the moment I have a 1.0 I wanna do something to it but not so much hence I am selling it next year and its only a 1.0. Any ideas what I could do? And by the way the door cards you got that painted already or have you done it yourself? Also I see that you are my neighbour pretty much kettering haha I'm from corby

Cheers!

The way I would look at it is what polo you getting next? Same shape bigger engine? If so do whatever you want to it with wheels/suspension/interior etc then just swap it into your new one. If your going for a different shape just get some budget coilovers, half decent wheels and add your own inspiration/personal touches to it and go from there.

Door cards came like that out the factory (colour concept interior) and they're full leather not painted

Being localish if your ever interested there is a weekly vw meet Tuesday evenings 7pm onwards at kens diner in Finedon that usually get a good turn out

Cheers!

Oh my u are a genious haha I never thought of it that way. So now I need to decide whether I am 100% positive that I want a polo again as my next car. Yeah it would be the same but 3 door gti instead. Although I have heard that gti gearboxes die pretty quickly. I cant really think of any other cars that are good looking and small with decent power, see I would of went for the gti straight away if insurance didnt restrict me. Shitty learner insurance hate it prices are ridiculous. Full leather nicee, thanks for the info mate will come down one day.

Decided that I'm gonna do something to my polo in January when I have money. Mostly interior work, exterior not so much possibly some coilovers and gti grill maybe :)

Nice car and great progress, you've ticked off a lot on my to do list!
