I think most people flare the arches a bit, but I'm no expert.

Do you know what color the whels are? As I quite like it. :)

I mean where to get the arches from?

In need of them despirately as police have picked up on them!

And cadbury purple mate

ebay. you cant buy them for a polo it will just be a universal kit.

Is some fabrication work an option? A few guys on here have welded and smoothed in some front 6n2 arches.

Alternatively check this thread out and get in touch with him.

Ok cheers any links please?

Not thought about getting your arches rolled?

Is there any better pics of how far they poke as form that angle you look like u could get away with some camber and maybe slightly narrower tyres maybe a 185/45 would look immense on that 9j?

I have considered getting arches rolled! but don't know anywhere that does them or anyone who does them!

and yeaah literally just got these tyres they've done about 200miles on them so don't really want to change them if undeed! if you know what i mean

yeah will upload picture now, and not a big fan of camber it's already got quite a bit

Also, don't know if rolling will be enough?

(have lowered it more since this picture was taken, still hasn't made any difference

Camber is the easiest cheapest way to get them under, if its not your thing 9 inch wheels shouldn't be kind of go hand in hand on something as small as a polo if have dish I'm afraid

no, i know what you're saying but didn't realise how much it would poke..

and buying some wider arches isn't a problem i just dont have the time/skill to do it

i wouldn't know where to start ...

i don't even know what to buy,

and i don't know if rolling them is the right idea?

  • Author

Getting different tyres going 185/45 seeing if that'll make a difference

am i the only person who seems shocked to see 9j ats cups I thought 8s were rare

  • Author

I know it would buy I want to refrain from body work alterations

Its only a couple of rivets or screws per arch... easy enough to fill if you want to go back to stock. Or you might be able to get some sort of glue or tape to hold them on

  • Author

What tape/ glue will hold them ?

  • Author

It's just the rears that stick out to far 8j would fit... 9j fits a mk3 golf etc beautifully just not the polo!

What tape/ glue will hold them ?

i said might because i couldn't say for sure what would hold it but I'm sure its possible.

i would probably engineer some sort of bracket that screws into tye arch lining to hold them if it was mine. then you wont notice if you remove them and its still mechanically attached to the car
