We have a winner! :)

yep corrrado seats with Mk1 golf tarten centres, Alcantara outers. Front and rear seats, headlining, door cards and gear gaitor where all done by the brilliant guys at Bromsgrove Auto Trimmers! :)

Really very nice Mark!

Love the attention to detail.

Were they able to rebuild any crushed foam on the seat Mark - e.g the edges? Or was the seat foam immaculate already?

Thanks

You can (or at least could) buy new bolsters. I'm going to do that when I finally get around to re-trimming my 'rado seats.

Seats look top notch bud :)

Oh fuck those seats are amazing!!!

I'll be asking some Questions on Sunday :p

need to sort the bird nest of wiring for the Bluetooth kit :-(

looking very nice mate!

Excellent job of the interior, works really well.

I'm feeling the wheel design too, but i don't know if it's quite happening for me in that pic, the poke aspect is very much opinion i think.

This is darn close to the perfect Coupe-S build going on here!

Looks awesome Mark, can't wait to see it in the flesh :)

x2!

Can't wait to see it, don't know if ill be making poloshow though, got a feeling i'm on holiday :disgust:

Mark,

Are the wheels 13x6? And the tyres 175/60's?

  • Author

its just how it looks in the photo.. the wheels actually sit inboard of the arches so there are no fouling issues

Ahh holidays can be moved!!

the wheels are 13x5.5 with 175/60's the offset for these are 18 but I need to fit 3mm spacers so they are et15's but it will be fine once the pads wear a bit :)

Ah right, I'm thinking about using that size tyre on a set of 6 & 7J wheels, so they should pretty sweet!

Not done much work on her this weekend..

did fit the front wheels..

IMAG0024.jpg

The fronts are right on the width limit, when the front pads wear down a bit I'll remove the front spacers and all should be much better! :)

Went to the scrap yard yesterday and got a good haul

original VW carpet mats!

the blasted steering column clamp

The g60 brake master cylinder turned up this week and I also got a brake master reservoir from a 6n from the scrap yard

Have you got a servo mark? Good to see you got a clamp.

Quick one, are those mats fitted? Would it be possible to get a template if you get time, and they are fitted

no... but worrying why you asked I just did a quick search on yours build thread and it would seem the master cylinder res does not fit into the bulkhead!! Arse buckets... don't suppose you would like to share your designs..

Yep they are fitted mats.. they were original options when the car was new.. will draw round them this week for you! :)

Your a good man!

Of course i'll share my designs. It's a bit of a faff though. And a pig to bleed the brakes due to the tiny reservoirs. Your not a million miles away from me, so your welcome to come and have a look if you want. Or I can attempt some drawings

The front wheels poke a lot don't they!

Looks lovely!

its looks it in the picture but they don't they sit flush with the arch and even more so with the arch trims on. But they are pushing on what I think is acceptable and I don't like poke! :)

I think I'm going to try a slightly different approach to the brakes. If I can get another one of the spacers that fit between the bulkhead and the master cylinder do you think the reservoir would clear the bulk head then? If So ill cut off the old bolts which hold the MC on and weld on longer ones. this might mean I don't have to cut the brake pedal rod and I can use the mk4 reservoir :)
