Went though every nut and bolt and torqued them all up, did some bits at bobs and took her for a spin round the car park.. its epic. Brakes are interesting though!! I think I'm going to have to put a regulator on the rear wheels as under hard braking they lock up way before the fronts do. It may just take a while for the fronts to bed in as they are DS2500 pads and they need more bedding in than the piece of crap ones I have on the rear. So I'll see how it goes.

too be honest I'm just feeling so tired!!! For the last 3 weeks I've just been doing 7 day weeks!. The 5 work days doing a 4 hr commute each day and then and a 2 hour drive each day to the body shop on the weekends/bank holidays. I need a break.

Will be over the moon if it passes the MoT and I just want to get it out and use it and then to a show!

I'm really liking the interior... well the whole car actually. Its one of those cars that I think people won't notice too much as its hopefully done in a style that might make people think it came out the factory like that. So its only when you start to look or you know early polo's inside out that you notice these things.

As for the door pods I just put a separator in there. I'll try to get a picture tonight for you.. :)

It has 12 months MoT on the car now!! Di a couple hundred miles in it the weekend. Some might have seen it at DivaDubs :)

Things I need to do

- New exhaust, Getting a Longlife fitted on the 25th.. which should mean it will no longer foul the body

- Add a throttle return spring to the accelerator pedal and adjust the cable so its less sensitive

- I think I need to put a brake regulator on the back or run one line to the back and split it out at the rear axle. Would this decrease the braking pressure to the rear. As its very easy to lock up the rears. Also I might go down to a Smaller master cylinder as you really have to stand on the brakes to get it to stop...

- Clutch pedal needs adjusting as the bite point is almost the floor.

- Need to work out why I'm not getting power to the radio or cig socket. Its not a fuse! :) Might have to get the dash out.. :(

- Fit speaker pods.

- fit the lower dash parts

- PanelnPaint (the bodyshop) are doing some final bits and bobs for me including fitting the Arch trims.

Not all this will be done for Stanford but the main bits will be! :)

I wonder what ride height ARB blocks are actually made for, is that a 40mm kit? Wheels look too far forward?

yeah they do don't they... I've also has to space the blocks down by about 5mm to clear the exhaust manifold..

I really need a stage 3 subframe but will need it custom making to clear the manifold...
