i wouldnt have gone through the insurance tbf... pick the parts up from a scrappy and fix it, then get the panels painted, would have helped with the cost in the long run.. doesnt look to bad tbf... gutting feeling i did it to mine....

look forward to the out come :)

the guy admited full liability after he realised he'd just crashed into someone so passionate about his car aha

the chances are that if the insurance company write it off, i'll buy it back and repair it because it isn't a difficult fix and can get paintwork done cheaply so fingers crossed she stays with me!

so just a quick update, got the repairs estimated and that came to just shy of £1300 including labour and VAT

got someone from the insurance company coming to check it all out because i refused to use their recommended body shop due to bad experiences in the past.

the technician that comes to view the car will definitely get some grovelling if i feel he's thinking of writing it off ahaha!

updates as and when they come :)

she's booked in for repairs on the 19th!! :)

getting a whole new front end but while she's there i'm getting the bonnet sprayed because its faded to fuck!

also the number plate recess filled in and a few dents here and there pulled out.

got some 165's on the way for the rotas which will allow more lows without being stopped by shitty arches 8-)

i shall get some progress pictures and i'm sure you'll all love the courtesy car i'll be getting!

so i got her back finally! :)

all damage repaired, spoke to the bodyshop nicely and got them to respray the bonnet because of the different colour and stonechips, smooth the number plate recess off, take out a couple dents down the drivers side and sort some scuffs out on the rear bumper.

all in all so happy with the outcome :)

pictures belloooowww!

so here's some of how shes sitting as we speak :)

so i lowered her all the way down on the old coilys and kept hearing a knocking noise...

took me a while to figure out what it was but of course the driveshaft and the chassis making contact :disgust:

I prefer the white wheels tbh

Great progress mate, shame about the damage :/ but it came back better than ever :D

i was looking to change the whole interior to black but seeing it now and once i'd fully cleaned the interior it brought back the colour and looked alright :)

here's just a couple of pictures of when it was in the body shop, there are more to come just waiting for them to be sent over :)

i was told they had to build a ramp so that they could get the car in the spray booth ahaha so I'm sure there'll be pictures of that ;)

so I started my new job at Mercedes-Benz world monday as an apprentice technician and I can say I would be more than happy to be there the rest of my life

working around such luxury and power at the same time is soo good! (then there's the smart cars...)

but anyway, this is the stirling moss slr, one of only 20 in the world and even less with this amazing decal job!

enjoy

thanks a lot :) feels good knowing people like her :)

Whats the paint code please?

When i dont know what the specific blue is called then its a bit harder than just googling blue paint code.

Now i know its Mercato, its a bit easier and your link has become useful to me. Thanks ;)

Someone did say above which is why I did that. Getting off topic now though, I love the car on the OZ Turbo's.
