Depends what you want from the car as always, an NA screamer gets tiring quickly.

Always nice to have a grunty motor, going too and from work, pottering about etc.

A long stroke 1.6 is still grunty with a 16v head on it. More than an ABD anyway.

I've been on the verge of buying at least 3 G40's over the years max, its not that I don't like any 8v. I just don't see a point in messing with most of them due to them being wank, might as well start with a better engine

I personally find G's boring, not being in them, I mean they're good fun and nippy, but they don't really interest me, an engine already designed for FI anyway. Just like buying a mk4 golf and remapping it and putting a different turbo on. Woop de woop

Many, many people still can't do it properly either.

A lot of them failing to do it probably still haven't mastered the art of tying their own laces yet either tho judging by some of the questions that get asked
