Hmm, there are a lot of issues with the Xbox reading this (I haven't paid much attention up until now). I have literally just connected my xbox to the net in the last few weeks. I don't have enough time play online, but £45 isn't too bad a year. I rarely buy new games, but then again I never buy them when they are released. So by the time they are released they're cheap enough. But I won't buy one of these (if ever) for years after release so won't bother me too much i suppose.

I can see why it would piss avid gamers off. I'd like to know their justification for it all. Obviously its money, but I want to hear microsoft's side of things

You dont have to pay for online, not to use the console.

You only pay for gold.

Microsoft has shown it's true colours with the xbox1, all they want is money and they haven't been shy about it either, no second hand games is a sure fire way to alienate less well off gamers who want to trade their games in after they have played them and get some money back to put towards the next new game and not collect a huge library of games.

What the hell is microsoft's obsession with tv? oh wait you have to pay for it as well!

i can understand microsoft's paranoia about piracy but to check in every 24 hours is a bit stupid also the camera raises some privacy issues, like who will have access it the images/video and how easy will a third party be able to hack it and be chugging away to your girlfriend playing one of the kinect games.

What microsoft fails to realize, and will be the downfall of the xbox1 is that an xbox is a game console and it should have gaming at it's core, sure a good web browser wouldn't go a miss but any more is unnecessary.

I haven't been a fan of playstations but the new xbox won't be getting my money and i'll be going ps4 or more likely PC.

I still have a couple of consoles from many years ago when i played them - my Sega Mega Drive from the early '90s and my original Playstation from the later '90s. But then i grew up and found other things to do, which didn't include sitting on a chair playing with myself, and having nothing but empty pockets to show for it.

Looking at what's going on with games consoles now, i think even if i did keep up with new consoles i'd stop now. What i've heard about the Xbox One, i wouldn't have one even if it was free.
