Rolling Road @The Polo Show 2013 - Saturday

Featured Replies

How accurate was it last time?

anyone? I see a few cars that have run at Aldon, how did the figures match up?

Did n't seem too far off.

Was 73.6 at show with small carb on hot day.

and 76.1 at aldon with larger carb, better air intake (but maybe running too rich) in cool Feb.

My engine still isn't built, i only put the crank and pistons in today, I hope to have it done tomorrow but obviously it'll need gentle use at first so I can't risk popping it on rollers. :(

Oh so you have decided I'm running

not sure if I'm actually gonna run for deffinate tbh haha

Can I run on it?

Like a treadmill

Managed to convince the guys two years ago to put the chopper on with Olly on it

2 wheels bad, 4 wheels good

Min was 0.4 maximum was 0.9HP

Pissed off that mine didnt fit on there haha

24bhp relay FTW. :lol::lol::lol:

In other news I now have 6-7psi of boost and a new fuel filter has upped the fuel pressure a hell of a lot, shit load of redex, lots of playing with the wastegate actuator arm to free things up, kept up with a mates astra 2.0 CDTI, and feels a lot more urgent.

Still needs a full clean out ddo

Without pissing on anyone's bonfire, the drivetrain losses on those rollers were quite silly. They appear to be using 24% losses for everything. Take your at the wheels figure and multiply it by 1.17 and its probably more like it. I can safely say my 150k mile 328i with fucked stem seals and a fuelling issue did not make 206 bhp on a 28 degree day, however using my 166 hp atw figure and 17% losses, 194 bhp seems far more accurate!

Standard cars making well above standard figures on a red hot day... seems legit

Mine seemed to tie up with 2 other sets of rollers iv been on recently lol

naa was just slow on day lol
