Ash's 6n2 TDi 1.4 Green machine

Featured Replies

So i've had her only a couple weeks now, i did previously have a mk4 golf 1.6 se silver. but it was boring and costly to run,

so i always wanted a 6n2 and this TDi came up at a bargain price as the

bloke was selling for a mate and wanted it off his drive

being i got her at a bargain price only on 120k for a diesel is low, this car was disgustingly dirty

the smell was awefull, so in the past couple weeks it's had a couple full wax on wax off treatments and its

finally getting there again with the shine. being that I've only had it a couple weeks i've not done much just what i can for now

So first things first, i got rid of that gash wiper and deleted it straight away, that wasnt long before the

fishing wire came out and the letters went with it. I'll eventually get to coding the badge just like the old Golf

So i've got a EGR delete plate on the way, taking its time on delivery, but in the mean time i've cleaned all the buttfly valve, the best of the manifold intake, which ill get done properly one day, and all the induction piping

so now its all shiney :-D i did feel a little more response but not much. i have to say my 1.6 100bhp golf feels sluggish compared to this

stole them before i picked it up but its okay i got 100 quid knocked off so ill need to order some, this was also followed swiftly by me putting my middle lower grille through someones towbar :tear:

Nice rainy day in good old Cornwall so i literally took every door car handle center piece, and it all went satin black with carbon inside the handle. it is finished but ill get some pictures of the result later

i think i may go over the center piece and the two side fans in gloss though, looks a much better finish

A shot of the old mk4 , i can't knock it, was nice to drive cruising , but its drank fuel like a beast and 120quid tax every 6 months is annoying.

I've only got one fault with the polo most the time it pulls the the left. I did read the old MOT and said there was a 30% bind on one side, but it pulls even when not breaking. Even if I'm doing 10/15mph it still pulls alot. I did think it could be the tracking so it's getting booked for that

but i did think if it was this then surley my tires would have been eaten already, they get quiet hot i must say. I'm not really sure though there was also a mention of some rust on the sub frame but i really dont think that would be anything to do with it
