So! Here we are! My first ever build thread, I'm 17 and just passed so I've only had the car a month or so and I'm really excited to get started! So this is my car, instantly fallen in love and i plan on upgrading to a 1.6 gti when insurance isn't crippling!

So this is the list of plans that i have finalised in my head after countless hours of aimless cruising!

-gloss black interior trim (door handle surrounds, a/c and CD unit area)

-Black out windows

-wind deflectors

-black/carbon badges

-de-wiper

-lowered on coilies

-LED footwell lights (chavvy i know, but i want them for the night time cruises!)

-audio set up, looking at under seat subs as I like to have boot space!

-Roof bars, not because they look cool (but they totally look cool) but because I'm a biker and i hate having my BMX in the boot

Things I have done so far...

-De-badged

-Some stickers

-Wished I had more money!

Will put some more pictures of how she looks with no badges tonight and will add pictures along with all updates!

small but sad update, long story short, one of my best pals in a golf that tired to overtake me in a lorry lay by, he got scared, for some stupid reason pulled the handbrack, and bang, i have i nasty dint in my otherwise mint car that i saved 8 months for



on a side note, i went to a car show in pickering called 'Pickering Modified Car Show' and saw this car, just wondered if anybody knew who it was??

small update

so i have just come home from holiday and with the small cras i had its been a slow start to the little polo.

last night the car was taken into the shop to be amended, photos will be on when the cars is home (fingers crossed wednesday) the cost for the fix is £400!

small parts ordered, i bought some heko wind deflectors and some whight head and side lights, hoping to get the windows tinted limo black on thursday!

come back on thursday for all updates!

sorry for the delay, not that any body seems to be interested in this anyway :p

couple of small updates, got the car back from the body shop, fantastic job! really impressed, will upload before and after pics when home.

also got my wind deflectors fitted and i like them!

Finally got my new bulbs fitted, which is a lot more hassle than it should be! does anybody know an easier way to do this?! on the left hand side i couldnt get to the light because the battery was in the way!

car will be getting a bit neglected over the next month as i have about £40 to last me 2 weeks before pay day, and i have my MOT and TAX due at the end of the month. by the way, another rant. WHY IS MY TAX £220!?! thats mental.

future plans are to get my THULE roof bar that i've bought off some chap on here, just waiting for him to get off holiday.

will upload all my pictures today around 10 ish.

maybe on day somebody will look at my thread

I know! it's a 1.4

My old one was a 1.4 8v and it was £135 for the year because it was pre 2001. The benefit of having an old car!

bloody hell it's been ages!

at the end of summer 2013 i contraced crohn's disease, which was basically shit. it meant i have been in and out of hospital and ill for the past 7 months.

This sadly meant i lost all motivation for everything including my car and bike (BMX) :(

but I'm better now! and I spent all day cleaning the motor today, with a wax, and i am 100% in love again and ready to get to work! I'm going to clean the engine bag tomorrow depending on the weather.

plans again are now:

1. lowered on springs or coils, not sure how low yet, any recommendations?

2. THULE wind deflector for the roof rack.

3. wheels, again not too sure yet. maybe something OEM, but then again wouldnt mind some RS's

4. little interior things.

5. want an absolute banging sound system!

however I'm paying for a holiday ATM so bigger mods will have to wait till july, untill then little things like fog lights will be bought.

I'll leave you guys with these pictures after her clean.
