I used to always chalk my feet and tip a bit inside before putting my shoes on as I couldn't wear socks with them. Climbing shoes are a very personal thing imho.

Think it rather do it bare footed than hire some......

I had to stop doing that, my right big toe dislocates too easily for climbing barefoot, and people don't like it when I kick it against the wall to put it back in.

I don't get this whole shoe thing. Only an idiot would pay more than £40 for a pair of shoes. I just buy whatever I like that's in a sale and kind of what you'd class as a skate shoe, then wear them until they fall apart. I had some DC's for about 6-7 years before I chucked them. My current faves are some airwalk cheapo high tops that cost £25 about 5 years ago. They are hardly worn in yet . But then i'm like that with all clothing. Buy expensive things in the sale, or from TK Maxx and then wear them until they go to holes, then wear them for another year or so for working on the car.

Although I do have one pair I actually care for. My 'Iron Maiden' Vans slip ons I bought in New York. They are only used on the odd occasion in summer, but even those were cheap.

I used to be like most of you, i didnt give a fuck. I wore DC's until they had holes in and were falling apart.

Go back 6 months and i out of nowhere became obsessed
