Central locking wiring connector

OK, you'll have to excuse my noobiness here. I was in the process of fixing a broken electric window regulator on a 9N and got held up at the point I needed to disconnect all wiring from the inner metal door panel and remove it so I could fix the regulator more easily. For the life of me I couldn't figure out how to remove the central locking wiring connector. The Haynes manual was no good and I found little info on the interweb.

Anyway, after prodding around a lot I finally figured it out and through I'd post the pics in case anyone else hits this problem. It turned out to be really simple, it's just that it's a really awkward and cramped place to work.

So, here's the offending article before I started:
