Yeah I'm pretty pleased I kept it as well. The 5 I originally fitted was good for cruising but no good for having fun. The one I have now is from a gt polo and it suits the engine perfect could provably do with a longer 5 gear might look at swapping the 5th gear set over from the old box to this one. Gutted man I troll eBay pretty much every other day looking for some tasty parts but nothing pops up. Yeah still got the 6n a lot lower than when u last see it. Currently sorn of the road for winter ready for the work to start in the new year.

Fitted the wheels today as I got bored at work.

Look much better and really grip well I'm glad I went with the tyre size no more understeer coming out of a corner. And a bad note I need new coilovers these seem to have lost there dampening there where secondhand when I got them and have lasted over six months so can't complain.

And some us side markers just retro fitted some 501 bulb holders into the indi housing if u have ever changed a bulb on one if these u will know how tight it is in the but still managed to squeeze it in. Just adds that extra touch to the front

Well small update. I say small but it was a lot of work trying to make this all fit. With this being a budget car and trying to keep costs down. I needed some bigger breaks as the old 1.3 items were no longer up to task. So with some one local breaking a polo gti I gladly hot the whole brake set up. So while work was shut over Christmas I set to it and started fitting soon after I realised I would run into trouble. The first was the ball joint instead of being a pinch bolt fixing it was threaded for a nut to go on so I quickly got two ball joints for 6n2 gti the offered em up to the lower arm and what would u know they don't fit so loads of measuring and then drilled to new fixing wholes in the ball joint and done. Well no that was just one hurdle bolt drive shafts up and it locks the hub so off it all comes then I start removing the material from the drive shaft and some from inside the hub and pow it all fits. The rears was fairly simple all that was needed was some conversion braided lines as I was using the mk4 platform calipers and I had already sauced them. So replaced all the metal brake lines and all the rubber hoses with braided lines. Along with replacing the m/c with the one from the gti. When said like this it doesn't sound much modification but it took about 3-4 days of straight work. But the out come was spot on the brakes now work spot on with a great pedal feel. Also did a single wiper mod cost was £0 as I just modded the original linkage to give a full sweep

Since then I have straightened the wiper arm and fitted a bigger blade.

Wow I should really up date this sometime lol. Some mordern sensored bost engine lol, at I guess I'm sure u could guess which one. Since to update rebuild the engine made 110 on rollers with cylinders low on compression rebuilt it to a predicted 130bhp but will say it's 110 as no proof after rebuild. Was a pretty quick for a small engine a fair few handling upgrades powerflow exhaust and and a few other bits now of the road for a bigger motor with turbo shooting for 250 bhp which Is a usable figure in my eyes no point in going 500bhp + In a fwd. will up date once it's all done. I forget there other guys on here with mk2s golfs/jetta

Haha yup u guessed it would of liked to stay naturally aspersted but was just pointless when the 1.8t is more than capable for decent hp figures. The main handling up grade was front and rear arbs kit from eibach huge huge arbs made a massive diffrenece doesn't flop a round in the corners anymore. Changed the rack for a p/s looped so now a turn less from lock to lock then the manual steering also made a major diffence to the driving bigger brakes 280mm with brembo max disc and yellow stuff pads couldn't recommend that combination enough unreal brake pedal feel and stops amazing. Got a few more bits and pieces in the line but will update once it's all done and yeah going track inspired but street sleeper so will look the same from outside as it does now full interior but decent horse power and all the good stuff to go with it,
