"New" 1994 Genesis Coupe

Featured Replies

Hellooo Polo people!

First time I've joined anything like this! I live in Byker, Newcastle, and yesterday I collected my "new" Polo from its ebay seller in Slough, Berkshire. It's a 1994 1.3 Genesis Coupe in metallic blue with only one previous owner, 38,000 genuine miles and full service history, handbooks, dealer sticker and tax disc holder, etc. It looks, feels and drives like a new car and cruised the 300-odd miles home no probs! I'll post some photos when I get around to taking some if yous'd be interested.

My last car (and first Polo) was a lovely 1993 1.3 Genesis coupe in green but she died last year :( and it's taken me this long to get another.

Anyway, thought I'd say hello, and mebbes see yas around at shows and stuff?

Cool. Seems like a Geordie invasion on here this week!

Welcome!

You're Polo doesn't happen to be the steel blue one that sold for over a grand? I fancied a punt but decided to stop once it hit £800. Looked in bloody fantastic condition! Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks Tom! That would be the one! It is in fantastic condition and worth every penny! I drove the 300+ miles back with a massive smile on my face! There's not a speck of rust on it, and although the advert mentioned "car park dents" there are no dents, just a couple of odd marks where it looks like a shopping trolley might have rubbed against it. The previous owner only did less than 2000 miles a year. It's like a new car, but much smarter than anything you can buy nowadays!

Welcome along

Sounds like a decent one you got, gets some pics up! (Photo bucket and copy IMG code is the best way incase you didn't know)

Erm...I've put half a dozen pics in the Gallery section, in an album called "Shonamobile!". Hope you like them. It said I'd run out of my allotted disc space before I could upload interior views of my car. It's like new inside too! It even has the original pop-out Sony radio cassette (with instructions) but I'd already popped it out by the time I took the photos.

Yeah, that's Morrison's car park in Byker and I live in one of the tower blocks in the background. Nice flats with awesome views!

Mozza's closes at 4pm on a Sunday so the car park could be a cool place to meet sometime?

Top car, love the interior

Aw, thanks! You can't beat a nice bit of Genesis tartan! I love them steering wheels too - comfy and smart.

Thanks! Well, I kinda feel like I should just try to keep it as immaculate and original as it is, like as a classic. It's just too good to do anything else with. So we'll see how long I can stand not personalising it! Who knows, I may have to swap it for something I can go crazy with in a couple of years. You can just have so much fun with these cars!

Enjoy the Boulevard! They're smart little models too aren't they? You gonna stick some pics up?
