Yeah, it was me who took the photos and did the write up...

Check out my page mentioned in the mag Facebook.com/retroshite

Will do mate , it was nice of the guy to allow you to look around his site and understand why he wants to keep it hidden .

Best buy I had was the 16V engine in my 6N, £450 for engine and the shell with all wiring loom, car had been rolled, ended up finding keys and clocks read 900 odd miles, that was back in 2000 when the car was only a few years old!

Mate had a great buy back when BBS wheels weren't on everything under the sun. A set of 3 bbs rs001 splits found in the back of a damaged car in the scrappys, £30 for 3, later found a single and had a set for less than £100!

Full mk2 ignition system for a fiver! Dizzy loom ect

And a back box abd steering arm for another fiver good old scrappies

Can barely find anything now with the strict scrapping laws they brought in this year, so many scrapyards near me closed down.

I had to drive 40 miles to get a new front wing...

So, to summarise, I've had terrible luck at scrapyards.

We don't have scrapyards round here, too many wealthy pensioners from London have moved here to have their second homes. They just trade their car in against a new one so ebay is basically the only place I can buy used car parts.

too many things to bother listing....

If it would fit in the bottom of my toolbox that's how I carried it out :ninja:

Haha I love good old scrap yard freebies

Obviously bartering with the man in charge for so called freebies I don't promote theft of any kind :p

The scrap yards closest to me are full of rotten 6n's and plastic french crap, so more often than not they are useless.

But I have had some bargains though, my favourite was a brand new fixed height TA Technics spring and shock kit for a BMW E36...£30

A mate of mine found a set of coilovers on a Civic EJ9, bought then off the scrapper for £50, sold them on eBay for a ball hair short of £400 plus postage.
